Hello everyone! I have a short storyboard/animation/slideshow project I am working on for a course assignment and I'm looking for a couple of voice actors to help really give the project life!
The assignment is to create a narrative video at least 5 minutes in length, so it is a short project I expect to have complete in the next couple of weeks. The content of the story was something inspired by my father and my niece, and also those rad "choose your adventure", as well as general "moral" stories you find in children's programming.
Although, as a class assignment, I can't provide compensation... I would like to base the character designs off their voice actors.
It is only small, but a gift of my gratitude for your help. <3
Me, my father and my niece would go on rides out of town to relax by going down some dirt roads and looking for moose, deer, bears, rabbits, and turkeys! He named the moose they saw "Shooster the Mooster" and often they talked about him. I want to give an identity to this silly little thing by producing a story my niece would enjoy (and everyone else I hope, too!)
The story is about a young moose, Shooster, and a black bear cub named Bungee. It will be divided into four different videos, each just over a minute in length or so. The first video, the primary story, will introduce the main conflict. By the end of the video the audience must choose one of three decisions on how to handle the conflict, and watch the appropriate video assigned for that decision to see the consequences of the action.
However! My goal is not to show which is the "right" decision, but that any of the decisions (whether "right" or "wrong") can lead to a good solution if you follow the advice of the "parental figure" of the story. I think this message is important because, whether you're a child or otherwise, we all will make a bad decision here and there... but there can still be a way to fix things if you put fourth the effort!
Presently, I'm looking for two voice actors for the remaining characters!
Bungee — a black bear cub. Any gender, but the voice should sound youthful due to character age. This character arises conflict with Shooster.
[not yet named] — a chickadee. Any gender, and the voice my either be youthful or a bit more mature. Due to this character being a small bird, I don't think a particularly deep voice would fit. This character is the "parental figure" or just general advice giver.
Thank you for reading! Please comment or note me with voice samples if you're interested.
